1. There are two types of cosmetic products today; Active Ingredients - This refers to certain ingredients in skincare that help promote your skin's health by giving your skin a youthful glow. Acne-fighting salicylic acid, hyaluronic acid, botox, glycolic acid. SLS/SOS is another type of active ingredient, it comes from various plants. They both prevent the development of acne and dryness. The other type includes Retinoids which are often used as lightening agents (like SPF) to fade dark spots, fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of ageing like sun spots, age spots etc. Retinoids also help to brighten and improve skin pigmentation. A final component of retinoids is Vitamin C, this helps rejuvenate skin tissues thereby removing aging marks and discolouration spots. It improves collagen production, decreases hyperpigmentation and is known to increase cell turnover. If you want to know more, click here for more information >>

2. Exfoliation - Exfoliating your skin every day is definitely essential to maintain healthy skin since the skin of the older generation is less elastic. But, excessive use of exfoliators will not only damage your skin but your hair too, so make sure to only use them sparingly. Also, avoid using scrubs or chemical irritants that can clog pores, causing pimples or breakouts. For more info, click here-10 ways to remove blackheads from your nails

3. Moisturizer - A must have for anyone who wants to keep their skin glowing! Make sure to apply a moisturizer on the entire body. Use oil-based moisturizers instead as they contain nourishing fats that keep your skin hydrated. Apply thick cream-based moisturizers before going to bed, during the hottest times or whenever you feel oily. For those sensitive to fragrances, opt for oil based creams instead of perfumes as they do not contain harsh chemicals or artificial fragrances that could alter your body's pH levels or sensitize you. Also, do not forget to use sunscreen that protects you from UV rays since exposure to sunlight makes your skin age faster. Click here for more info📷🔥🔬

4. Sunscreen (SPF) - Always remember to wear SPF for your whole life. Don't forget to reapply sunscreen once in 7 days to avoid getting SPF burns on your skin. Avoid wearing cotton underwear as it will protect your sensitive skin; wear clothes made from silk and linen fabric as they offer better protection. To add colour to your look, use tinted lipsticks like Mascara shade instead of lipstick as they are lighter, easy to apply and don't leave an excess of shadow in your lipstick. 5. Leave your face alone! No matter what time of the year it is, always try to stay away from your eyes, ears or neck for at least 30 minutes. Try to move around, stretch your arms, walk around and breathe deeply throughout the time. Wearing sunglasses reduces risk of having cataracts or macular degeneration. This will also help to balance your eye-shadow for a more natural looking finish to your face. 6. Drink plenty of water - Drinking enough water is important for keeping your skin hydrated. Water flushes away toxins from your body, keeps your brain sharp and gives you fresh juices to drink. For your skin, drinking 2 liters of water daily is the recommended intake. However, as per your tolerance level, you should aim for 4 liters of water for women and 5 liters for men when it comes to maintaining good health. Click here for more info

7. Change your shampoo daily - Shampoos are very acidic in nature, so unless you're using a gentle product, it'll leave behind its effects on your skin. Using soap on your skin is also a bad idea. Choose the right cleanser which suits your skin and rinse off after 15-20 minutes. This will remove dead cells, dirt and impurities without stripping your skin. Skip using shampoos with fragrance since you'll end with irritating allergies. Additionally, avoid over cleansing since excessive washing can strip your skin of much needed oils and nutrients. 8. Moisturise generously - Since you'll probably spend the vast majority of your mornings sweating a little bit due to the heat, a moisturiser is necessary for keeping your hands and feet soft and healthy. Look for natural yet lightweight options that do not clog your pores. Be careful about selecting products containing harmful ingredients, as well as don't mix it with alcohol as it can dull your senses and make you sleepy. Your fingertips are also exposed to dust and pollution a great deal, so you'll need to use a mixture that protects your hands thoroughly. Finally, follow your favourite formula religiously! 9. Wash your face twice - We all hate washing our faces because we tend to skip this part every time we go out. If you have dry skin, then you can always simply lather on a toner and then wash again with warm water to take care of the drying effect. Doing this 3 times daily is ideal as it will give you a natural cleanse and will prevent your skin from turning white. Click here for more info

10. Keep your environment pure - Keeping your surroundings free of scents, pollution and pollutants will ensure better and healthier skin. By reducing noise, being clean and avoiding smoke, you can effectively eliminate dirt, debris and polluting particles that build up on your skin and cause inflammation eventually leading to breakouts. Switching your air conditioner off at night to reduce humidity in your home is also a solution. Click here to learn more!
